Aayyyyy, part 2

A couple years ago, I was sporting dad's old Fonzi jacket. Man, these fine threads keep on keeping on! It's picture day at EBI so mamma dusted off my old man's duds and here it is again. I look twice as cool this time around, don't you think?

Classmate's birthday party

I like my new preschool, or at least my parents think I do. My classmate Lei-Lahni had a birthday party at Head over Heels and invited all of us. What's not to love?

Happy Birthday to Me!

I am four! I had a big party at Tilden Park today. My favorite part was the Pinata. I hope my friends enjoyed the candy, trucks, stickers, seaweed packs, tiny potties, mini bedpan nurse kits, japanese sushi erasers, plastic animals, wind-up walking noses, window markers, teeny loud trumpets, stencil books and other assorted weird stuff that dropped out once the big kids really took their whacks at the pinata. Thanks to Amelia's mom for an awesome Pin the Tail on the Donkey kit and MCing. We took home about 20 kilos of leftover chinese food and Kaley and I took loooong naps... my present to my mom and dad.

The Fifth of July

2 BBQs, a parade and an assortment of dogs that scared the beejeezus out of Kaley and me were not enough to deter an action packed Sunday. The morning started off with a big old Oakland fire truck rolling down our street to inspect properties (you know, fire prevention in the hills). Luckily, we had our grand estate cleared of brush and ivy just a week before.
Then we drove over the Richmond bridge to attend the Marin County Fair. It was an awesome trip that started with free parking, no lines at the merry go round and good weather. I also got to eat a corn dog, poke around an ambulance (no blood or bandaids), get tattooed by a cop, and paint lots of things. Next year, I hope to enter a pig into the agriculture tent.

We Love a Parade

Happy Fourth of July. The folks in Piedmont know how to do it up right.

Cousin Cami is Three

Happy Birthday Cuz. You're my blood relation, neighbor, friend, carpool companion and 2nd in command. Love, Noa.

It's not Photoshop

That mustache is due to a gooey chocolate soysicle. I, on the other hand, pride myself in my dainty eating prowess.

It must be getting warm

...cuz this is the first time I'm seeing Kaley's skin. Normally she's cloaked in long sleeves and pants. I think her knees and elbows are almost as cute as mine. Lucky for her, they are not as itchy. Why she's so pale is beyond me.

Mothers Day

This we we celebrated all moms big and small by spending a windy afternoon at the Cesar Chavez Park by the Berkeley Marina. We were worried that the wind would pick up our frail little Kaley (clocking in at 20 lbs at her 18 month visit) so we staked her down by the ankles. Our cousins come from SF and the basement of our house. The picnic was organized by dad and quite gourmet, I must say, and we had fun getting up his big Birthday elephant kite.

Take me out to a ball game

Went to a Giants-Dodgers game in SF this afternoon. Sure I had a fever, but dad's baseball fervor was more hot!

Classic Clip

Here is an old clip from last summer. We salute thee, Garbage Men of the World.

The light in Palm Springs

We had a lovely long weekend in the palatial Aronauer compound. 16 humans in under one roof. Only one brawl.

The shoes made for walking

At almost a year and half, Kaley is officially walking! She likes her classic white baby booties and rejected the super-fly Vans that Noa got from Ernie and Paul (to clunky). Apparently, her style is little more Country than Rock 'n Roll.

How do I look?

Aunt Andrea gave me this delicious-smelling Thomas Train bath set. I've enjoyed shaving my chest on numerous occasions.

This is Kaley's 'tough girl' face. The thing is, she'll never be a true badass because she always busts out laughing after a few grrrrrs.

Thinking about the times

What should I be when I grow up?
A basketball player? A sanitation engineer? Maybe someone who just gets to hang out, pushing stuff around in a cart. This actually feels fun. I've been using the word 'actually' a lot lately, actually.

Gramma's girl

I couldn't help notice the resemblance between Kaley and Gramma. I think you'll agree with me that both are lovely ladies, one being much littler than the other.

Kool Kapla

Sootzee Ayi gave me a box of wooden rectangular planks a few Christmases ago. We had discovered them at LHS back when I had membership. Nowadays we love to play with them morning and night. For now, we build a lot of streets and towers.

Maybe I'll be able to build a nice mansion for my mouse friends.

Hero man

Mamma hosted an inauguration brunch. Friends came over to bask in awesomeness happening in this country, but Kaley's favorite guest was this little cute dude Mikey.

Little Hand

Kaley: Small hand, big voice

Me: Small scratch on my face

Weekend visitors

Our little cousin Kekoa and the people that bore him.

Our buddy Jerm from Singapore. He's a scientist living in New York. His wife hand-stitched mine and Kaley's bears, but this dude could probably clone one.
