Me and my cousins

By next year there will be another one! Hopefully that one won't bully me like a certain girl cousin of a small, but powerful stature.

Christmas Recovery

Christmas Eve at A-mah's house was grand. I got to play with my cousins all day, eat a lot and open presents. And no one seemed to mind when I barfed up a day's worth of food at the dinner table. In the next 36 hours, my mom, dad, cousins Ryan & Lia, and 2 a-yis all got slammed by a stomach virus. 12/26 was a dark day indeed, but I was most bummed because I missed my Grandma's birthday celebration.

But back to Christmas day, before the reddish-green plague hit us. That day was spent at Grandma's house in Glendale where it was almost a full day affair of opening presents by many, many Carters.

Uncle Grady and John got a little uppity when it was time to open the WII.
Everyone's safety was at peril and I made it out to blog about it.

Future Fish Mongers of America (FFMA)

Or maybe a sushi chef? I do like to play with sharp objects!

Last weekend we hung out with Evan at the Bay Area Discovery Museum in Sausalito. As you can see, I'm practically a Ph.D. in the Walking Sciences.

Houston we have liftoff

In case you're wondering, I am starting to walk. It's hard to balance the heft in my noggin, so it took me a little while. I hope to learn breakdancing soon.

More walking-mania here:

Hot and Cold

Whenever my cousin Gemma comes over, I have a load of fun. Really.

I can't wait to learn how to share. Or learn some martial arts.

Have a Grape Halloween

Har har... I kill myself.

Thank goodness we killed the elephant. Being a grape feels more 'me' to me.

Today, after I get doped up with my flu shot, I will be paraded up and down Montclair for candy that I'll stuff away in my cheeks for the long winter ahead.

Is there a draft in here?

A few weeks ago, my furry Uncle David Bills visited us, enroute from Singapore to Texas. I was happy to model the special Chinese pants that he had brought for me last time. I was too little to wear them until now. The orange goes well with my black & white SF Giants onsie.

Xie Xie David!!

I like wood.

Thanks to my cousin Elisa in Taipei, I am the proud owner of wooden donut things that stack. My life is great!

BTW, that's my old man back there.

Small Jumbo

If all goes well, this is what I'll be looking like in a week or so.

However, I predict that I'll be tearing off this crazy get-up unless Mamma actually lets me eat the candy.

One Year Old!

What can I say? On Tuesday I turned one. I'll collect my thoughts and let you know how it feels next year. I've been recovering from my raging birthday party at Grandma's house in Glendale over the Labor Day weekend. Oy, what a bash....

I'm getting old

Last Sunday, me and my party people posse had our group birthday shindig at Gymboree. It was pretty darn fun, even if my old papa was away doing his own thing in Vegas. I got a little upset when separation anxiety set in, but some sugar-laden cake solved all of life's woes soon after.

I can't believe that it was almost a year ago that I was such a wee, helpless dude.

My real birthday is in a couple of weeks and we'll be whooping it up in L.A. I'm hoping for a pony.

Will work for food...

In the last few weeks, I've started this thing called crawling. I got a case of the wacky giggles when I realized how fun I'm gonna make my parents' lives when I really pick up velocity, coupled with my mass and all the knick knacks & tchokches in the house.

This is my crazy cousin Gemma. Apparently, she sees you.

Grandma went to Germany and all I got was ...

... this totally awesome felt hat! I'm ready for Oktoberfest!

Danke Schoen Grandma!

Now where's my lederhosen?

Noa the Hut

Yeah, so I like to eat.

So like to scream when I don't get the food fast. So I like to swipe Cheerios from others who don't have the dexterity to keep on their toes. But I think Mamma secretly loves it because it means more times that she subjects me to the potty!

Fleeced...by my own relatives!

In July, my Uncle Christian visited from NYC. He was sporting his new fiancee Jennifer. They are both spirited teachers and I can't wait for them to move to my neighborhood next year (*ahem*). We were having a great time playing, but then they stole my lunch money.

I guess they're feeling the pinch of buying a fancy diamond ring. Sniff.

Living Large in NYC

Today, a couple of my best friends, Evan and Leila, and I had our 10 seconds of capitalistic fame on a huge Times Square digital billboard in NY.

An insurance company was having a promo that allowed egotistical stage-moms submit pictures to run on said Jumbotron. The website and a better explanation is at www.lifecomesatyoufast.com.

Our unretouched, fresh faces will be cycling through 6/26-6/30. Afterwards, the world is sure to be disappointed by having to view less cute images... pity.

I get the feeling that some embarrassing photos may be surfacing soon... watch out, Dad.

Tennis anyone?

For Fathers Day, mamma took me to downtown Oakland Sears for a portrait. I threatened to spit up all over my outfit, but decided in the end to cooperate after I had a gaggle of Inadomis pleading with me to smile and show my 2 pearly whites. They got a dimple instead.

Cheese!!!

Kainoa gets a Blog

Everyone is doing it. So mamma Claire is giving the gift of Blog to Noa. Will he appreciate this when he is 15 and wants to blog on his own?
